Although Labor Day has come and gone, summer isn’t showing any signs of stopping at Cabo Chips HQ in Newport Beach, CA. In honor of an endless summer, we decided to create this mouthwatering (literally) dessert inspired by one of our favorite flavors – Mango Chili Lime. Paletas are a classic Spanish dessert, very similar to the American popsicle. Shops that sell paletas are known as paleterías.
This recipe is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and an invigorating, refreshing treat for summer, spring, winter or fall.
3 mangos, peeled, pitted and chopped
juice of one lime (about 2 tablespoons)
1 teaspoon chili powder
pinch cayenne pepper, to taste
Combine 2 mangos, juice of one lime and 1 teaspoon chili powder in a food processor until well combined. Set aside.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine remaining mango with a pinch of cayenne.
Lightly pour in blended mixture on top of chopped mango mixture and pour into a popsicle maker.
